This afternoon after work I had a listen to the NZRDXL's SDR based in Russell. On 850 KICY was booming in - the best I have heard it, with Christian evangelical songs and Russian commentary. I tuned to 1170 to see if I could hear KJNP, but it was nowhere near as dominant. In fact I couldn't hear it at all, although others did later.
What I did hear and quite well, was KLOK on 1170 kHz based in San Jose, Ca. A report and a short sound file have gone to the station.
